Libreng Tuli At Bunot Ng Ngipin
Assiduous medical students from Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila, diligent and productive SFI scholars, enthusiastic volunteers, staff and employees of Splash Foundation Incorporated had conducted their annual Surgical and Dental Mission last May 17, 2008 at the Social Development Center in Valenzuela City. For almost a couple of months of preparation, the scholars along with Ms. Rocharm Ramos, SFI’s Program Officer, had a series of meetings to come up with a feasible plan for the said Surgical and Dental Mission.
Lining up as early as 6:00 a.m., with the activity that would start at 8:00 a.m., there were already a group of kids who were prepared for the operation. Volunteers, staffs and scholars performed their duties extraordinarily. Surgeons and dentists were very much enthusiastic and passionate while doing such charitable activities. Surgical mission ended at 5:o’clock in the afternoon while the dental mission finished much earlier at 12 o’ clock noon.
There were a total of 159 beneficiaries for the surgical mission while 130 availed of tooth extraction.
SFI team and the beneficiaries thank World Partners Bank for the employee volunteers and most of all, for the financial contribution to which this mission was made possible.
Through the efforts of the scholars, they were also able to solicit medicines from other Pharmaceutical manufacturing companies, Dyna Drug Corp, Jelsan Drug, Yeng Drugstore and United Laboratories.
Everyone was in perfect rapport that led to a productive activity and warm camaraderie and despite of all the backlogs and busy schedules, conflicts and problems were encountered but passion and devotion still prevailed.
KUDOS EVERYONE!!!
