“Bye, Bye Kuto Tatalas Isip Ko

In partnership with HBC, SPLASH FOUNDATION, INC. has launched a new project for kids enrolled in the Interactive Literacy Program (ILP) “Bye, Bye Kuto Tatalas Isip Ko” last July 26, 2008.

This project aims to help children develop reading comprehension using Marungko Approach in which alphabet letters are taught in its corresponding sounds or what is called mastery of sounds. The daily lesson starts with a 10-minute drill that requires listening to the alphabet sound and identifying the letters which the kids find it fun and enjoyable. The rest of the 20-minute is letting the child make and write down the words out of the alphabet learned. more

Ate, Kuya Halina’t Magbasa

“Ate, Kuya Halina’t Magbasa” started last July 28, 2008 where the team of Splash Foundation, Inc. that includes Maurice P. Ligot, Aui T. Manalang, Melliza F. Tredes, May V. Morandarte, Joan V. Cabuhat, and 2 volunteers from ILP Parents decided to spend a one-on-one 30 minutes daily tutorial for 7 Interactive Literacy Program students categorized as non-readers and slow readers from Grades 1-3. more

A Splash Scholar bagged the third place in Chess event, Men’s Board 1 Individual Match, CEU Intramurals

A Splash scholar, Kevin Jake D. Tegelan, bagged the third spot in the recently concluded Chess event, CEU intramurals. He competed with his team, against 9 representative teams coming from various departments from CEU Manila with the participation of CEU Makati. The event was scheduled August 22-23, 2008, from 8am-5pm. Pharmacy Chess team was mentored by two charming advisers, Mrs. Rosa Ibarra and Mrs. Susan Montemayor. more

To make classrooms more conducive to learning, the Department of Education launched Brigada Eskwela (BE) that aspires to gather parents, students, individuals from the community, to work together as volunteers in repairing, restoring and beautifying classrooms. With its repair, it also aims to extend the lifespan of the currently used school building and its fixtures into the next generation and on.more

Operation Libreng Tuli At Bunot ng Ngipin sa SFI 2008

Assiduous medical students from Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila, diligent and productive SFI scholars, enthusiastic volunteers, staff and employees of Splash Foundation Incorporated had conducted their annual Surgical and Dental Mission last May 17, 2008 at the Social Development Center in Valenzuela City. For almost a couple of months of preparation, the scholars along with Ms. Rocharm Ramos, SFI’s Program Officer, had a series of meetings to come up with a feasible plan for the said Surgical and Dental Mission. more

Manalang, SFI Program Manager and Ms. Mae V. Morandarte, ILP Teacher with the participation of our friends from World Partners Bank, Mr.Edwin Fontanilla, Mr. Tony Mui and Ms. Lucy Pilongco and 15 volunteers from ILP Parents. more
